The Universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose.
-- J.B.S. Haldane, 1927

My Lips are Sealed

Author's Note: The man I wrote this for will always have a place in my heart, and his leaving left a hole in my soul.

My lips are sealed...
    I won't tell...

About the sweet summer sweat on your skin
fine and brown as velvet made with silk...
tasting like dew on a plum...

About your hair...thick and fine as a million spider
webs...shining like a star filled night...

About your brown eyes...like twin pools of amber I've
lost myself in and been held...
Captive for a million years at a time.

About your scent after love on hot humid days...
filled with shadows and secrets and fragile lonely flowers

I won't tell...
    My lips are sealed...
