The Universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose. -- J.B.S. Haldane, 1927

Buried Alive
Buried alive.
The tales are told
Of those woeful souls.
Victims of the hive.
The claw marks are clear.
Trapped 6 feet down
Without a sound.
What did they fear?
The lies that were told.
Truth was the enemy
Living stealthily.
Forever cold.
The truth didn’t set free.
Walls too thick
Life without a hitch.
Never to be me.
The toll has been taken.
I’m tired of this life
Inside strife.
So tired of faking.
Trapped in hell.
Time to shout
To be out.
Saved by the bell.
